HANDICAPS score histories - player profiles
CHAMPTIONSHIP FLIGHT A heads up on how we "play the ball down" with the Grumpy Old Men from May through the end of October.
1. If it is cart path only, it will be lift clean and place from everywhere except the red and yellow steak hazards and out of bounds (we play as a lateral hazard). We will also drop out of bunkers keeping the entry point of the bunker in-between you and the flag stick (new change).
normal playing conditions:
2. You may clean "mud (not grass)" off the ball and drop in the same area if you are in the fairway.
3. You may roll the ball out of a divot (far enough to get it out of the divot) if you are in the fairway.
4. If your ball is in an unconditioned bunker, you may rake the bunker and place it back in its original position.
5. If the fairways have recently been aeriated, we will roll the ball in the fairway.
6. If you are in the fairway and feel like you are in an area that should have been marked as ground under repair, get a consensus from your foursome. If they agree, then follow the USGA ground under repair rule.
"You may either play your ball as it lies from the ground under repair or take free relief. To take relief, you must find the nearest point of complete relief from the ground under repair and drop your original ball or another ball away from the ground under repair and within one club-length of that point not nearer the hole (see Rule 16.1)."
